Philip M Shearer has a long and varied work experience. Philip M began their career in 1996 as a General Assistant at Brandimage (Desgrippes Gobe and Associates). Philip M then moved on to become a General Assistant at The Hit Factory in 1999. In 2000, they became an Assistant at Kinetic Records (Warner Brothers Records) and a Director at scenyc, inc., where they were responsible for innovation, strategy, general management, finance, legal, business development, marketing, client management, and space design and construction. In 2002, they became a Drummer, Song Writer, Arranger, and Producer at Tramponaline. In 2014, they co-founded The Glass Files, where they served as CTO. Finally, in 2015, they co-founded MetaBronx, where they were responsible for building a community-driven innovation ecosystem and producing Diversity Demo Day at diversitydemoday.

Philip M Shearer has an extensive education history, beginning in 1986 with the French American School of New York. Philip M then attended the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres from 1988 to 1992, followed by the Lycée Français International de Tokyo from 1992 to 1994. Philip M then attended the Lycée Français de New York from 1994 to 1995, and Cornell University from 1995 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. Finally, they attended Columbia College, Columbia University from 1996 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
