Zachary Davis

Zachary Davis has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Zachary co-founded The Glass Jar, Inc. in 2009 and served as the CEO. In 2010, they became the owner and co-founder of The Penny Ice Creamery, which specializes in homemade ice cream using local and organic ingredients. Zachary expanded their business ventures by founding The Picnic Basket in 2011, a café focusing on simple and delicious food and treats.

In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Zachary has been actively involved in community organizations. Zachary served as a Board Member and Vice-Chair of the Downtown Association of Santa Cruz, managing a business improvement district to promote commerce. Zachary also held the position of a Board Member for the Santa Cruz Area Chamber of Commerce since 2018, where they played a key role in promoting economic vitality and prosperity in the county.

Zachary's involvement in community affairs extends to their role as a Council Member for the Santa Cruz County Economic Recovery Council, facilitating the safe reopening of the local economy. Zachary is also a Board Member of the Santa Cruz County Conference & Visitors Council, contributing to the promotion of tourism in the area.

Furthermore, Zachary has been a Small Business Council Member for Small Business Majority since 2011, advocating for small business owners and promoting policies that facilitate their growth. Zachary also served as a Commissioner for the Santa Cruz Downtown Commission, where they advised on matters related to parking and the improvement of the downtown area.

Throughout their career, Zachary has demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit, community involvement, and a dedication to supporting local business and economic development.

Zachary Davis earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Sustainable Enterprise from Dominican University of California, which they completed from 2006-2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington from 1995-2000, with a focus on Comparative Religion.
