Jason Hitchen has over 20 years of work experience in recruitment and business development. Jason started their career as an Operations Assistant at Montgomery Transport Group in 1996 and then worked as a Direct Sales Representative at Bank of Scotland. In 1998, they joined TRS Staffing Solutions as a Resourcer and Recruitment Consultant. Jason moved to Advantage Personnel Services in 1999, where they served as a Consultant and Senior Engineering Consultant, specializing in the Nuclear, Chemiplant, Oil & Gas, and Manufacturing industries. In 2004, the business was acquired by Morson International and Jason became a Senior Recruitment Consultant there, focusing on the supply of temporary, interim, and permanent staff. In 2012, they joined Brunel as a Senior Recruitment Consultant, Team Leader, and Senior Team Leader, responsible for the growth and success of the Geoscience, Drilling & Completions Department. Jason then moved to Spencer-Ogden in 2015, where they worked as a Team Leader for the Drilling & Marine team, before joining The Global Edge Consultants in 2016 as a Business Director, leading a team of Engineering Recruitment Consultants and managing key accounts.

Jason Hitchen began their education at Birchwood Community High School in 1989 and completed their GCSE in an unspecified field of study in 1994. Jason then attended Priestley Sixth Form College from 1994 to 1996, where they pursued a GNVQ degree in Leisure & Tourism - Sport Studies.
