Deepak Bawari

Deepak Bawari currently serves as Associate Director at The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) since May 2023, previously holding a similar position at Smart Power India from June 2022 to May 2023. With extensive experience at Emergent Ventures from May 2011 to July 2022, Deepak held multiple roles including Principal Consultant, Senior Manager, Engagement Manager, and Senior Consultant in Energy and Climate Policy. Early career experiences include positions at IFMR LEAD, IRMA Anand, and the People's Science Institute, where Deepak contributed as a Researcher, Research Officer, and Project Manager, respectively. Deepak's academic credentials include a Master of International Development Policy from Duke University, a certificate in Applied Economics from Brandeis University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Kumaon University.
