Magda Robalo currently serves as Co-chair of the UHC2030 Steering Committee and a member of the Board of Directors at Management Sciences for Health. Robalo is also the Vice-Chair and Chair of the Ethics and Governance Board Committee for The Global Fund, where Magda acts as an Alternate Board member for West and Central Africa. As President of the Institute for Global Health and Development since December 2021, Robalo brings extensive experience from former roles, including Global Managing Director at Women in Global Health and High Commissioner for COVID-19 in the President's Office. Robalo held the position of Adjunct Professor at Griffith University and served as Minister of Public Health for Guinea-Bissau. Prior to these roles, Robalo was the Director of the Communicable Diseases Cluster at the World Health Organization, where a focus on health inequalities, poverty, and disease was paramount. Robalo also acted as WHO Representative to Ghana and Namibia during earlier tenures with the organization.
