Marijke Wijnroks

Marijke Wijnroks is the Head of the Strategic Investment and Impact Division and Chief of Staff at The Global Fund, where work focuses on ending AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria epidemics. With extensive experience in the field, Marijke previously served as the Interim Executive Director at The Global Fund. Prior roles include Ambassador for HIV/AIDS and Deputy Director for Social Development at the Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken, responsible for management and oversight of health-related policies and strategies with a significant budget. Additionally, Marijke worked as a senior health and AIDS advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and held technical advisor positions at the World Health Organization and Helen Keller International. Marijke's medical background includes work as a medical doctor with Médecins Sans Frontières in South Sudan. Education includes degrees from Maastricht University and the Prins Leopold Instituut voor Tropische Geneeskunde.
