Eric Purdy

Volunteer Physician at The Global Orphan Project

Eric Purdy is an experienced ophthalmologist currently serving as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Indiana University School of Medicine since April 2021. Purdy has been actively involved in volunteer work, holding positions such as Instructor and Volunteer Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon for Volunteer Eye Surgeons International since 2011, and a Volunteer Physician for The Global Orphan Project since 2010. Past roles include serving as a Volunteer Ophthalmologist for Project HOPE since 2005 and as an Ophthalmologist Consultant at the Veterans Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN, since 2001. Additionally, editorial experience includes serving as Editor-In-Chief for the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Focal Points Publication from 2013 to 2019.
