Jake Barreth

Chief Operating Officer at The Global Orphan Project

Jake Barreth has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Jake started their career in 1999 as a Registered Investment Advisor at First Equity Corporation of Florida, where they provided financial planning and investment advice to clients. From 2001 to 2004, they worked as a Business Sales/Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant at VR Business Brokers | Mergers & Acquisitions, assisting business owners with sales and acquisition plans.

In 2004, Jake transitioned to the real estate industry as a Project Manager at Midtown Equities, where they managed a large-scale mixed-use development project in Miami. Jake then joined Life Church Miami in 2008 as a Worship/Creative Director, responsible for designing worship experiences and developing partnerships with other churches and organizations.

Since 2011, Jake has been actively involved in humanitarian work at The Global Orphan Project. Jake held various positions, including Director of Operations at GO Haiti, Field Manager overseeing sister organizations in Haiti, Dominican Republic, and India, Director of International Ministry, and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer. Their responsibilities have ranged from establishing ministry procedures and protocol to developing and implementing programs for vulnerable children and their families.

Jake Barreth has pursued a diverse educational background spanning different periods. In 1997, they enrolled at Llanishen Sixth Form College and completed their A-Levels in Business and Biology in 1999. Following this, they attended Fuller Theological Seminary from 2018 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Global Leadership and International Development.
