Harold Pauwels

Harold Pauwels is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in standardization and management across various sectors, currently serving as the Director of Standards at the Global Reporting Initiative since September 2021, where responsibilities include developing global sustainability reporting standards. Previously, Harold held multiple leadership roles at NEN, focusing on change management, digital transformation, and standardization in the industry and safety sectors. Contributions to international standardization projects in energy, oil, and gas, along with board membership at the Registerautoriteit Bètatechniek and involvement with CEN Certification Board, highlight expertise in enhancing engineering quality and compliance. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Chemical Technology from Eindhoven University and an Executive Management certificate from Business School Netherlands.
