Candy So has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Candy began their career at Oracle Corp. in 1997, where they worked as a Consultant for five years. In 2002, Candy joined The Globe and Mail as a Senior Developer, later transitioning into roles such as Project Manager / Scrum Master and finally becoming a Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master. Candy remained with the company until 2013 when they moved to Infusion as a Project Manager and then as a Senior Project Manager. In 2015, Candy joined Canadian Tire as a Project Manager before returning to The Globe and Mail in 2016. Since then, they have held positions including Project Manager/Scrum Master, Sr. Manager of Project Delivery & QA, and Director of the Project Management Office. Candy'sexperience showcases their expertise in project management and software development.

Candy So obtained a BMath degree in Computer Science/Information Systems from the University of Waterloo, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Candy also holds additional certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, obtained in April 2011, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from Project Management Institute, obtained in November 2008. Recently, Candy completed the Hybrid Project Management: Do What Works certification from LinkedIn in 2022.
