Robert McHaney, AICP, CTP, serves as the Chief of Integrated Planning at The Goodman Corporation, where responsibilities include breaking down traditional silos within the organization to enhance collaboration across various disciplines. Prior roles at The Goodman Corporation include Chief Project Officer and Planning Technical Services Manager, focusing on strategic project execution and demand forecast methodologies. As Chair for the American Planning Association's Transportation Planning Division since January 2023, McHaney leads efforts to advance policies within the transportation planning sector. Previous experience includes a Senior Associate position at Cambridge Systematics, where transportation challenges for government entities were addressed, and a Legislative Assistant role with the Washington State Legislature. McHaney holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from The Evergreen State College and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Land Studies, Political Science, and Public Policy from Central Washington University.
