James Pyett is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in policy advising, purchasing, and economic analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Purchasing at The Goodwin Company since May 2019, James focuses on developing quantitative production models and economic research to enhance efficiency and business strategies. Previous roles include Senior Policy Advisor to the Deputy Minister at the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing Data & Analytics and Finance portfolios while advising on large-scale policy changes. James has also held positions such as Economist at the Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat and Research Policy Analyst at the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, where significant contributions included financial forecasting and stakeholder relations. With a strong educational background, including a Master of Arts in Business Economics from Wilfrid Laurier University, James also co-founded RJ45.Design, providing branding and content management solutions for businesses.
