The Grassroots Aid Initiative

Starting off as a documentary photography project, The Grassroots Aid Initiative has gone through a multistage process bringing to where it is today; one of the largest donors of mechanised boreholes to rural communities in Northcentral and Southwest Nigeria as well as a hub for energetic volunteers. Since it’s launch in 2017, the NGO has successfully drilled 7 boreholes in communities in Lagos, Kwara and Oyo. In its nascent stage, the NGO adopted a multidimensional approach to curtailing the various issues that affect rural communities in Nigeria such as donation of relief materials, sensitisation on key issues that affect the societies, trainings for students amongst others. Along the line however, the reality of stifled access to potable water across communities began to dawn on us and so we shifted much of our focus to ensuring better living by providing potable water to communities. With our connoisseurs of social media, crafty content writers, ingenious business developers, agile logistics team, rich network and strategic partnerships, we are poised to rewrite the stories of more communities and grow to providing humanitarian aid on a global scale.
