Gabe Donaldson

Gabe Donaldson currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer at The Great Basin Institute and as President of Fibonacci Fire Project, both positions held since mid-2023. Previously, Gabe held significant leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer and Co-Executive Director at The Ember Alliance, and Assistant Director of Fire Management at Forest Stewards Guild. Gabe's extensive experience in fire management also includes serving as Fire Program Director for The Nature Conservancy and various roles with the Bureau of Land Management, including Superintendent of an Interagency Hotshot Crew. Gabe's academic background includes a Licentiate degree in Ecosystem Management and Biology from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Colorado State University.
