Amanda Perry

Special Education Teacher at The Groden Network "Your Autism Experts"

Amanda Perry is a dedicated special education teacher at The Groden Network, serving students in grades K-3 with severe intellectual disabilities since February 2012. Responsibilities include writing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), executing Behavior Support Plans, conducting assessments based on Alternate Assessment guidelines, and collecting academic and behavioral data while collaborating with families. Additionally, Amanda has been a dance instructor at Danceworks School of Dance Education since September 2006, teaching students aged 6-10 in ballet, tap, and jazz at various skill levels. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Rhode Island College, completed in 2012, following a diploma from Our Lady of Fatima High School.

The Groden Network…”Your Autism Experts” is the leading non-profit organization in Rhode Island providing direct services, treatment, research, educational and residential programs for children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. Our Network of programs provides quality service to over 800 families with a professional workforce of over 600 employees. The Groden Network family of programs includes: The Groden Center, Inc. is a school and residential treatment center in Rhode Island enhancing the lives of children and youth with autism, behavioral disorders, and developmental disabilities by providing early autism intervention services, an early childhood education program at the Livingston Center, as well as providing functional and social development instruction to school-age children with learning disabilities. The Cove Center, Inc. provides instructional vocational and residential programs for adults over 21 in Rhode Island with developmental disabilities, autism, mental retardation, behavioral disorders, emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders. The Halycon Center, Inc. provides instructional vocational and residential programs for adults over 21 in Massachusetts with developmental disabilities, autism, mental retardation, behavioral disorders, emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, and mental health disorders.
