Stephanie Schmidt

Stephanie Schmidt serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at The GroundTruth Project since August 2022. Prior to this role, Stephanie held various positions at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty from January 2007 to August 2022, including Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Acting CFO and Treasurer, and Budget Director. Earlier experience includes a position as a Proofreader at Human Rights Internet and as Program Officer at the National Democratic Institute. Stephanie was also an NGO Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps Slovakia from May 1999 to August 2001. Educational qualifications include a MALD in Human Rights and International Law from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, as well as a B.A. in International Studies from American University. Further studies took place at Harvard University, Prague University of Economics and Business, and Moscow Pedagogical State University.
