James Gancos

James Gancos has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. James began their career in 1999 as a Senior Consultant for Ernst & Young / Capgemini. In 2004, they joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. as the Director of Operations for the North America Division. James then held the roles of Hotel Manager for the Sheraton Seattle and Sheraton Kauai Resort. From 2010 to 2013, they were the General Manager of W Hotels in Los Angeles and Istanbul. In 2013, they founded The Guestbook, a travel search-and-rewards service that partners with independent and boutique brand hotels and tourist bureaus. Most recently, in 2021, they joined YPO as a Board Member and Chapter Finance Officer.

James Gancos obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Duke University in 1999, followed by an MBA in General Management from Harvard Business School in 2005.
