Nick van Winsen

Nick van Winsen has 14+ years of global experience in the travel industry, as well as knowledge in other industries. In 2004, they began their career as a Financial Accountant at Shell, where they were responsible for the accounting of Shell Solar Energy, Shell Solar, and Shell Wind Energy. In 2007, they moved to 3M as a Marketing Coordinator for Marine & Painttrade, where they were responsible for yearly marketing planning, budgets, and revenue reports. In 2008, they joined TUI Nederland as a Product Manager for City Trips, where they negotiated contracts and promotions. In 2011, they joined Hotelbeds Group, where they held various roles such as Regional Contracting Manager Indonesia, Strategic Market Manager, Regional Market Manager, and Regional Product Director. In 2020, they founded NVW Consulting B.V., where they specialize in negotiation, relationship management, product and revenue management, business development, sales and sourcing/buying, as well as training/coaching and team management. In 2021, they became a Partner at SaaS.travel, where they match travel industry professionals with high potential travel tech start- and scales ups. Currently, they are the Director of Partnerships at The Guestbook, where they partner with independent and boutique brand hotels and tourist bureaus to enrich the guest experience.

Nick van Winsen has a diverse educational background. Nick began their studies in 1999 at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Propedeuse (first year) degree in Accountancy. In 2000, they transferred to Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, where they completed their freshman year in Business. Nick then returned to De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they obtained a Bachelor degree in Economics in 2004. Nick followed this up with a Master of Science degree in Economics & Business from Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2006. In addition, they obtained a certification in Negotiating with Agility from LinkedIn in September 2019.
