Chief Brand Officer at The Habit Burger Grill

Iwona Alter has been a marketing powerhouse for over two decades. Iwona got their start in 1994 as a media buyer at the global advertising agency J. Walter Thompson. After four years, they moved to Johnson & Johnson as a junior product manager. In 2000, they were recruited by Shiseido to manage their skincare, makeup, and fragrance lines as brand manager.

In 2002, Iwona made the move to Circone + Associates as an account executive. The following year, they became product innovation manager at Elmer's Products, Inc., where they oversaw the development of the company's Kids Arts & Crafts lines. In 2005, Jack in the Box recruited Iwona to lead their brand innovation team as senior manager. Just four years later, they were promoted to chief marketing officer and given responsibility for all marketing functions, including marketing communications, product management, culinary development, and local marketing.

In September 2018, Iwona Alter became chief brand officer at The Habit Burger Grill. Iwona is responsible for leading the company's branding strategy and initiatives to build The Habit into a iconic brand.

Iwona Alter holds an MBA in Marketing Management & Advertising from Fordham Gabelli School of Business, as well as a BBA in Marketing / Economics & Mathematics from Baruch College. Iwona has also completed two years of study in Foreign Trade and Economics at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

They are on a team with Anthony Serritella - Chief Operating Officer, Peter Whitwell - Vice President, and Douglas R. Branigan - Chief Development Officer. Iwona Alter reports to Russell W. Bendel, President & CEO.
