John Neilsen

John Neilsen has extensive work experience in supply chain management and purchasing. John currently holds the position of Director Supply Chain Business Lead at The Hain Celestial Group since October 2019. In this role, they have led projects that resulted in significant supply chain savings and increased average order size. Prior to this, John worked at UNFI as a Senior Product Development Manager/Senior Category Manager from June 2014 to June 2019. Here, they successfully managed a project to consolidate natural items, resulting in increased sales and decreased capital expenses. Before UNFI, John worked at US Foods as a Senior Buyer and Buyer II, where they forecasted inventory requirements and purchased grocery items while reducing carrying costs and capital investment. John also onboarded new clients and achieved high service levels. John's earlier experience includes positions at Albertsons Companies as a Buyer and Warehouse Operations Manager, Starbucks Coffee Company as a Shift Supervisor, and Nordstrom as a Women's Shoes Salesman. Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in managing teams, improving processes, and achieving results.

John Neilsen earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations Management from California State University-Long Beach - College of Business. John also obtained additional certifications in Advanced Negotiations from Spurgeon Management Services and Leadership Certification from Employers Group.
