Kara Monteiro

Kara Monteiro has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries. Kara began their career in 2002 at Evins Communications, where they worked as an Account Executive and later as a Senior Account Executive, managing communications plans for clients. In 2004, they joined Nancy J. Friedman Public Relations as a Senior Account Executive and later took on roles as an Account Supervisor and Senior Account Supervisor, leading public relations, marketing, and media campaigns for hospitality-related clients.

In 2007, Kara transitioned to Sonu Beverages, where they served as the Vice President of Marketing, overseeing marketing strategy, brand innovations, advertising, and more. Additionally, they held the role of Chief Operating Officer, partnering with the CEO to handle general operations and strategic planning, supplier interface, logistics, and distribution.

From 2013 to 2016, Kara worked at PepsiCo as a Global Procurement Manager, specializing in fruits and vegetables. Kara managed procurement processes and ensured a stable supply chain for these products.

Most recently, Kara has been employed at The Hain Celestial Group since 2016. Kara started as the Director of Contract Manufacturing, overseeing the contracting and procurement processes. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Director and Supply Chain Business Lead, managing the end-to-end supply chain for Hain's Snacks brands, as well as serving as the contract manufacturing lead for personal care and pantry brands.

Kara Monteiro completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in International Business from the University of Massachusetts from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of Connecticut from 1999 to 2002.
