Katherine James is a Remote Sensing Specialist at The HALO Trust, focusing on the deployment of thermal cameras for detecting Anti-Vehicle mines in countries such as Somaliland and Angola. Prior experience includes roles as a Production Test Engineer at GeoSLAM, where Katherine calibrated handheld 3D laser mapping scanners, and as a GIS Technician at both Geospatial Insight and Cyient, utilizing multispectral data for various projects. Katherine also has coaching experience in lacrosse at Reading Wildcats and Aberystwyth University, fostering skills and confidence in young athletes. Katherine holds a Master's degree in Earth Observation and Geoinformation Management from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Aberystwyth University.
