Paul McCann

Paul McCann has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Paul has held positions in various organizations, exhibiting their skills and expertise in communications and journalism. Paul's most recent role is as the Global Head of Programme Communications at The HALO Trust, a position they have held since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Communications at the same organization, starting in August 2016. Before joining The HALO Trust, Paul worked as the Director of Communication & Advocacy at Namati: Innovations in Legal Empowerment from an unknown date in 2013 until June 2016. Paul also has experience in freelance communications and journalism, where they worked as a Consultant from June 2005 to June 2013. In addition, Paul served as the Chief of the Public Information Office at UNRWA from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that, they worked as a Media Correspondent at The Times from November 1999 to September 2001 and as a Media Editor at The Independent from March 1997 to November 1999. Paul's early career includes roles as a Media Editor at Marketing Week from 1995 to 1997 and as a Reporter at Media Week from 1994 to 1995.

Paul McCann obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies from Sheffield Hallam University, where they attended from 1986 to 1989. Later, they pursued further education and earned a Master's Degree in Journalism from the University of the Arts London, completing the program from 1992 to 1993.
