Donald J. Engels

Mr. Engels has been with The Hampshire Companies for 16 years. In his current role Mr. Engels is responsible for and oversees Hampshire’s self-storage investment and development platform. Mr. Engels has been a vital cog in the development of Hampshire’ self-storage business as both a merchant developer and operator. Mr. Engels began his real estate career at Hampshire and learned his trade developing a broad spectrum of real estate skills in property and investment management, transactions and finance. More recently he has been tasked with overseeing the construction and development activities of the firm with a large emphasis on the development of self-storage facilities. Mr. Engels is a member of the Hampshire Senior Leadership team, serves as a member of the Warren County Economic Advisory Council and has served on Community Land Use Boards for the past ten years. Mr. Engels holds a B.S. degree in Finance from Bentley University and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University.
