Rick Burt

Rick Burt currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary at The Hartford since January 2018. Prior to this role, Burt held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary at The Hanover Insurance Group from February 2016 to December 2017, and served as Executive Vice President of Products and Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary at Erie Insurance Group from July 2011 to February 2016, overseeing all product development, underwriting, and actuarial functions across multiple divisions. Burt began a career at Deloitte Consulting LLP, where from June 1999 to June 2011, Burt was a Principal/Partner and the practice leader for the West Region Actuarial, Risk, and Analytics Practice. Rick Burt earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Physics from Bowdoin College between 1981 and 1985.
