Susan Johnson serves as the Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at The Hartford, a role held since April 2013, where leadership in enterprise-wide DEI initiatives aligns with business and talent strategies. Prior to this, Susan spent nearly 17 years at Pitney Bowes in various leadership positions, including Vice President of Executive Succession & Diversity Strategies and Vice President of Strategic Talent Management & Diversity COE, focusing on talent management and diversity initiatives. Earlier experience includes a managerial role in Human Resources at Campbell Soup Company. Susan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Business from Spelman College and a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
