Matthew Holt

Matthew Holt is the founder and author of The Health Care Blog, established in August 2003, which has grown to attract approximately 100,000 visitors monthly, showcasing contributions from a distinguished team. As the president of SMACK.health since March 2018, Matthew provides strategic guidance to startups within the health tech sphere. An occasional advisor at Nina Capital since January 2019, Matthew supports a venture fund focused on health technology investments in Europe. Matthew co-founded the Health 2.0 conference in January 2007, serving as co-chairman until December 2023, establishing it as a premier event in the health tech sector. Their prior roles include board member at YTH, advisory board member at the Validation Institute, president of Matthew Holt Consulting, and vice president at both Professional Service Solutions and Harris Interactive. Matthew holds an MS in Health Services Research from Stanford University and a BA from the University of Cambridge.
