Jessica Skelton

Director, Emergency Preparedness, Response & Regional Healthcare Coordinator at The Health Collaborative

Jessica Skelton is currently the Director of Emergency Preparedness, Response & Regional Healthcare Coordinator at The Health Collaborative. Jessica has a long history of working in public health, starting as an Assistant at the Cincinnati Health Department in 2015. In 2016, they joined the US Peace Corps- Albania as a Health Extension Specialist. Jessica served in this role for two years before returning to the United States in 2018.

In 2018, Jessica took a position as the Public Health Response Coordinator at Hamilton County Public Health. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating efforts for public health related outbreaks with the community. Jessica also managed recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of volunteers and contract employees. Jessica was also responsible for developing and facilitating training and scheduling for co-workers, volunteers and contract employees. Jessica supervised over 50 contract employees funded by public health response funds and volunteers. Additionally, they assisted in managing and updating standard operating guidelines for public health response. Jessica also served as a liaison between epidemiology and assessment division and public health response needs. Jessica supervised the Public Health Response Specialist position.

In April 2018, Jessica left Hamilton County Public Health to take a position as Front Office Manager at Blueridge Vista Health and Wellness. Jessica held this position for two months before returning to Hamilton County Public Health in June 2018.

Jessica’s experience and dedication to public health make their an asset to The Health Collaborative. In their current role, they are responsible for leading the organization’s efforts in emergency preparedness and response. Jessica also coordinates regional healthcare initiatives and works to ensure that all healthcare providers in the region are prepared to respond to emergencies.

Jessica Skelton has a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science - BS from Northern Kentucky University. Jessica also has certification from the TEEX in ICS-300, the International Council for Online Educational Standards in Forensic Sciences, HR & Payroll Management, the Center of Excellence Online in Homeopathic Medicine Diploma, Personal Assistant, the Department of Veteran Affairs in Disaster Emergency Medical Personnel System, National Emergency Medical Response Team, and the State of Kentucky in Certified Nursing Assistant. Finally, they have certification from the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc in Certified Health Education Specialist.
