Jerry Cohen is the father of the late Steve Cohen, in whose memory The Heart Foundation was created. Jerry earned his BS in Engineering from M..T. and his MBA from the University of Southern California. Before retiring, he worked as an engineering program manager for Hughes Aircraft Company. In addition, Jerry served as an M..T. educational counselor for 18 years, interviewing prospective students and providing recommendations to the college’s admissions office. Jerry also volunteered for the Shoah Foundation for 12 years providing tours as a docent and interviewing Holocaust survivors. He was married to his amazing wife Flo for 57 years until her passing in 2013. Jerry has taken on many roles at The Heart Foundation over the years, spearheading various committees, assisting with grant writing and composing letters to prospective donors, and now as Secretary for the Board. Jerry has also written a book about Steve’s life to preserve his son’s memory and share his story with others.
