Robyn McLean started their work experience in 1999 as a Journalist at Taranaki Daily News. Robyn then moved on to become a Journalist at Sunday Star-Times in 2001 and later joined The Dominion Post as a Journalist in 2003. In 2007, they became the Communications Manager at Royal New Zealand Ballet, a role they held until 2012. Following that, they worked as a Freelance PR Consultant and Copywriter from 2012 to 2013. In 2013, they joined Napier City Council as the Marketing and Communications Manager until 2016. From 2016 onwards, they have been a Freelance Writer, providing copywriting services and acting as a PR advisor for various clients. In 2017, they co-founded Hello Period™ and held the roles of Co-Founder, Co-Founder & CMO, and currently serves as the CEO, Co-Founder & Marketing Director.
Robyn McLean began their education in 1993 at the University of Canterbury, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. Robyn completed their studies in 1995, although their field of study during this period is not specified. Following a few years break, in 1999 they enrolled at the Western Institute of Technology to earn a Journalism Diploma, which they successfully obtained in 2001.
