Dan Drake has extensive experience in the hospitality industry. Dan is currently the Director of Hospitality at The Highlights Foundation since December 2021. Prior to this role, they worked as the Hospitality Manager at The Highlights Foundation from March 2017 to December 2021. Before joining The Highlights Foundation, Dan served as the Executive Chef at Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts from July 2008 to March 2017. Dan also worked as a Sous Chef at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. from July 2006 to July 2008. Dan's earlier roles include being an Ice Carver/Logistics Coordinator at Sculpted ice Works Inc. from June 2004 to September 2006, and a Chef/Manager at Buehlers Idlewild Resort from June 2004 to July 2006. Dan started their career as a Chef/Kitchen Manager at Ehrhardt's Waterfront Resort from June 1997 to June 2004.

Dan Drake obtained their Associate's degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training from Northampton Community College, where they studied from 1999 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Wallenpaupack Area School District, earning a diploma in Family and Consumer Sciences/Human Sciences from 1995 to 1999. In addition, they have received additional certifications including Leadership Essentials Training from Penn State World Campus in May 2019, and ServSafe certification, for which the institution and specific dates of attainment are unknown.
