Nick Weldon is an experienced editor and writer with a robust background in journalism. Currently serving as Senior Editor at The Historic New Orleans Collection since September 2016, Nick has held multiple editorial positions within the organization. Prior to this, Nick operated as a Freelance Writer, contributing to various notable publications such as Runner's World, SB Nation, and VICE Sports. Nick's previous experience includes roles at Rodale Inc. and Dino Publishing, as well as a tenure as a Youth Mentor at Youth Organizations Umbrella, Inc. Nick began the career journey with an Editorial Internship at Sports Illustrated. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Northwestern University, earned in 2010.

The Historic New Orleans Collection
The Historic New Orleans Collection is a museum, research center, and publisher dedicated to the study and preservation of the history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South region. General and Mrs. L. Kemper Williams, collectors of Louisiana materials, established the institution in 1966 to keep their collection intact and available for research and exhibition to the public. Over the 40 years since its founding, The Historic New Orleans Collection has added to its holdings and augmented the physical structures that house them, established ambitious publishing and exhibition schedules, and developed innovative educational programs.
