Akie Kadota is a dedicated music educator and program manager with extensive experience in arts education and partnership development. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Programs & Partnerships at The Honeycomb Project since August 2023, Akie previously held the role of Program Manager at Distinctive Schools, where responsibilities included creating instructional materials for over 600 K-8 students and establishing a new after-school band program. Akie's earlier positions include teaching music at Band for Today, managing stage operations at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music, and facilitating communications for youth music organizations with Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education. Akie holds dual degrees in Flute Performance and Music Education from Northwestern University, further complemented by a degree in Social Policy.
