Bert Shi

Bert Shi has extensive experience in academia, serving at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) since April 1994 in various leadership roles, including Associate Director of the HKUST-HKSI Joint Center for Sports Science and Technology, Special Advisor to the Vice President of Research and Development, Director of the Center for Aging Science, and positions within the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, culminating in roles such as Acting Dean and Head of the Department. Additionally, Bert Shi held visiting appointments as a Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and as a Visiting Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Bert Shi earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, following a BS and MS in the same field from Stanford University.
