David Leung

David Leung, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. David is currently the Head of Smart Systems and Project Development at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Prior to this, they served as the Assistant Director at the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre, where they conducted and supported research in various technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchain, data analytics, and cybersecurity, among others. Before that, they worked as a Senior Manager, Program and Projects Operation at HK R&D Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management Enabling Technologies. David also has experience as a System Engineer at Integrated Solutions Limited and as a Graduate Trainee at The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas).

David Leung, PhD has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of Hong Kong. David also holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) from the same university, with a focus on the Online Supply Chain Bidding Problem and Multi-Agent based System (MAS). Additionally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from The University of Hong Kong specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Planning and Scheduling, and Complex Logistics and Supply Chain Problems. Furthermore, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Global MBA concentration in Business Administration and Management, General from The University of Manchester from 2018 to 2020.
