Tinessa Kaur

Tinessa Kaur is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Pupil Barrister at 4BB Chambers since January 2024. As the Founder and Director of the CUT IT OUT PROJECT since February 2021, Tinessa focuses on educating youth about knife crime and providing various support services. Tinessa co-founded the Sikh Lawyers Association in September 2020, establishing a network for Sikh lawyers and students. Tinessa also founded Kaurs Legal UK in December 2019 to assist underrepresented communities with legal advice. Previous roles include serving as a Locum Childcare Lawyer for the London Borough of Hackney, and a Senior Childcare Paralegal at ABV Solicitors. Tinessa has extensive experience in legal advocacy and support across various roles, contributing significantly to social justice and community engagement. Educational qualifications include a Bar Professional Training Course from The University of Law and a Bachelor of Law with Honours from London Metropolitan University.
