Joanna Penner

Joanna (Jodie) Penner currently serves as the Manager of Board Relations at The Hoover Institution, Stanford University, where responsibilities include planning and implementing board relations programs to enhance donor engagement. Previously, Joanna held the position of Executive Director at Beyond Barriers Athletic Foundation, achieving significant increases in fundraising and donor engagement while overseeing scholarships for underserved youth. Joanna has also contributed to notable institutions such as Notre Dame High School and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County in advancement and development roles. With extensive experience in grant writing and corporate finance, including positions at PaineWebber, Inc. and Oppenheimer and Co., Joanna possesses a robust background that combines nonprofit leadership with financial acumen. Joanna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics/Economics from UCLA.
