Tanner Braman is currently a Senior Research Program Manager at the Hoover Institution, Stanford University, collaborating with synthetic biologist Dr. Drew Endy in the Bio-Strategies and Leadership Program. Previously, Tanner served as Chief of Staff to Robert M. Gates and Director at Rice, Hadley, Gates & Manuel, managing Secretary Gates's affairs and conducting geopolitical analyses. Tanner also completed training as a Special Warfare Officer Candidate in the United States Air Force and held roles as a President's Intern and Research Assistant at William & Mary, while also interning at the US Congress for Representative Adam Smith. Tanner holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from William & Mary and graduated from Lakeside School with a high school diploma.
