Emily Playfair

Emily Playfair is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in education and healthcare. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin since August 2017, Emily also co-founded and leads Messy Feelings as the Executive Director. In the healthcare field, Emily works as an Anesthesia Technician at The Hospital at Westlake Medical Center, a position held since June 2016, and previously served as a Clinical Administrative Assistant at Calm Counseling. Early career roles include Research Assistant at Barnard Cognitive Development Center, Logistics Guru at The Velo Group, and various caregiving positions, including a Camp Counselor and Babysitter. Emily is pursuing a PhD in Counseling Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin, having also earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Barnard College.
