Barry Jacobs has a significant work experience in the field of Pathology. Barry served as the Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Hospital of Central CT starting in 2003. Prior to that, they were an Associate Chief of Pathology at New Britain General Hospital from 1996 to 2003. Barry also worked as an Attending Pathologist at New Britain General Hospital from 1985 to 1996.

Barry Jacobs obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Connecticut in 1975. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree at New York Medical College from 1975 to 1979. After completing their medical degree, from 1980 to 1983, they studied Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at The Stamford Hospital. Finally, from 1983 to 1985, Barry engaged in further education at The University of Connecticut Health Center, specializing in Hematology and Transfusion Medicine (Pathology).
