Paul Acker

Paul Acker is an experienced professional in community impact and recovery support, currently serving as the Community Impact Manager at The Housing Collective since July 2022. Previously, Paul held the position of Chief of Staff at Advocacy Unlimited Inc. from June 2017 to July 2022, and served as the Director of Recovery University at Advocacy Unlimited, where program training for Recovery Support Specialists was conducted. As Acting Executive Director at Focus On Recovery - United, Paul managed budgeting and program development on an emergency basis, and as Assistant Executive Director, initiated Connecticut's first Community Bridger program. Paul also worked at InterCommunity, Inc. for nearly eight years, where responsibilities included revamping a habilitative clubhouse, facilitating recovery-oriented panels, and supervising staff while contributing to resources that promote anti-stigma campaigns.
