Edna Nakamoto, SPHR, CMC, is the Founder and Principal Consultant of The HR Manager LLC, providing HR consulting services to small and medium-sized organizations since January 2007. With extensive experience, Edna co-founded The Applicant Manager, an Applicant Tracking System that streamlines recruiting processes, serving from March 2011 to February 2020. Edna contributed as a voting member of the SHRM Measures and Metrics Standards Taskforce from October 2010 to September 2015, focusing on developing ANSI standards for HR metrics. Additionally, Edna served on the Board of Goodwill Industries of the Redwood Empire from 2005 to 2014 and worked as a Senior Consultant at SharedHR from May 2009 to November 2011. In a prior role as Senior Director for Human Services at Sonoma State University, Edna managed various HR functions from 1990 to 2007. Edna's early career included the position of Director of Corporate Environmental Health and Safety at Avantek from 1982 to 1990. Educational qualifications include a BS in Occupational Health from California State University - East Bay and additional studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
