Mike Watson serves as the Associate Director at the Hudson Institute's Center for the Future of Liberal Society since August 2018, where responsibilities include overseeing all projects, managing a research team, and providing support for notable works such as Walter Russell Mead’s upcoming book. Previous experience includes a role as a Research Assistant for Charles Krauthammer, a syndicated columnist for the Washington Post, from 2012 to 2018. Mike Watson holds a Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Virginia.

Hudson Institute is a non-partisan policy research organization dedicated to innovative research and analysis that promotes global security, prosperity, and freedom. In the 1970s, Hudson’s scholars helped turn the world away from the no-growth policies of the Club of Rome; in the early 1990s, we helped the newly-liberated Baltic nations become booming market economies; at home, we helped write the pioneering Wisconsin welfare reform law that became the model for successful national welfare reform in the mid-1990s. Today, as part of our research agenda, we are developing programs of political and economic reform to transform the Muslim world.
