Alex Suchy

Alex Suchy has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Alex is currently serving as the Vice President of Global Programs at The Humane League since April 2022. Prior to this, they held various roles at The Humane League UK, including Head of Corporate Relations from October 2019 to April 2022, Corporate Research & Insights Analyst from October 2018 to September 2019, and European Corporate Relations Coordinator from July 2017 to September 2018. Alex also has experience working at Greenpeace Czech Republic as a Fundraising Director from July 2015 to June 2017. Additionally, they worked in the mining industry, serving as a Senior Mine Surveyor at Minstaff Survey Pty Ltd from October 2010 to October 2012, as an Offshore Surveyor at Neptune Marine Services from January 2010 to September 2010, and as a Mine Surveyor at BHP Billiton from January 2009 to December 2009.

Alex Suchy has a Bachelor of Engineering in Surveying & Spatial Information Systems from UNSW, completed between 2004 and 2008. In 2014, they earned a Master's Degree in Peace and Development Studies from the University of Limerick. Alex obtained a Graduate Certificate in Business with a specialization in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies from QUT (Queensland University of Technology) between 2016 and 2017. In 2020, they received an Advanced Diploma of Information Technology Business Analysis from TAFE NSW. Alex also holds a Diploma in Sustainability from Swinburne University of Technology (2010-2011), a CERT IV in Occupational Health & Safety from TAFE NSW (2010), a CERT III in Fitness from the Australian Institute of Fitness (2010-2011), a Certificate II in Community Services from TAFE NSW (2014), a Certificate I in Business from Asset Training Australia (2015-2016), and completed a CELTA program at Akcent College, Prague in 2014.
