Dennis Ming-Tak Chung is a seasoned professional in clinical psychology with a robust background in behavioral health management. Currently serving as Program Manager at Portia Bell Hume Behavioral Health and Training Center since 2010, Dennis has also held roles as Functional Supervisor and Pre-doctoral Intern within the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as a Psychology Practicum Student at Boston VA Causeway Outpatient Clinic and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital. Dennis completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Suffolk University (2006-2011) following a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Tufts University (2001-2005).

The Hume Center was founded in 1993 as an Outpatient program serving the underserved populations in Central Contra Costa County is adapting to the needs of not only the changing nature of challenges in behavioral health today, but also laying the groundwork for the future. Hume Center’s endearing and an amazing team of heart-centered, professional, and highly dedicated board, management, administrative support staff or direct service staff care about making a difference in our society. The Hume Center strives to create an environment of psychological well-being both internally for our work community and externally for the community we serve, with special consideration for the under- and un-served, through practicing an enabling consultation process. We believe in serving our community through strengthening existing and developing new resources; providing the highest caliber of culturally sensitive behavioral health services, professional training, and clinical research; and focusing on consistent improvement through outcomes, data-based quality assurance, and program evaluation.
