Javaid E. Siddiqi

Javaid E. Siddiqi is the current President & CEO at The Hunt Institute. Javaid has served in this role since July 2014. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board of Visitors at Radford University from July 2014 to June 2018. Javaid also served as the Director of Hunt-Kean Leadership Fellows at The Hunt Institute from January 2014 to September 2016. Their other previous positions include Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia from November 2013 to January 2014 and Deputy Secretary of Education for the Commonwealth of Virginia from November 2011 to November 2013. In addition, Siddiqi has served on the School Board for Chesterfield County Public Schools from December 2015 to December 2019 and was also the Principal at Chesterfield County Public Schools from August 2007 to November 2011.

Javaid E. Siddiqi has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Virginia Commonwealth University. Javaid also has an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Biology, General from Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from Virginia State University.
