Kathleen Arney, M.Ed., currently serves as a Policy Analyst at The Hunt Institute since July 2023, following a role as Principal Intern at Raleigh Oak Charter School from August 2021 to July 2023. Throughout their career, Kathleen has demonstrated a strong commitment to educational improvement, evidenced by significant gains in student performance through data-driven planning and innovative intervention strategies. Kathleen's previous experience includes teaching science at St. Cecilia Catholic School and providing intervention services as a Title 1 Interventionist with Catapult Learning. Additionally, Kathleen has contributed to educational equity initiatives as a Teach for America Corps Member and held leadership roles in various education-focused organizations. Kathleen holds a Master of Education in Education Policy from American University and Bachelor's degrees in Public Policy Analysis, Sociology, and Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
