Rob McEwan

Head Master at The Hutchins School

Rob McEwan is the current Head Master at The Hutchins School. Prior to this, they were the Head of Senior School at Scotch College in Perth from January 2013 to December 2016. Rob has also held the positions of Deputy Headmaster/Head of Senior School at Newcastle Grammar School from January 2009 to December 2012, Director of Teaching and Learning at Rockhampton Grammar School from January 2002 to December 2008, and Director of Music at Kinross Wolaroi School from January 1996 to December 2001. Rob has also worked as a Music Teacher at Busselton SHS from January 1994 to December 1995 and Denmark D.H.S. from January 1990 to December 1993.

Rob McEwan has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Newcastle, a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Newcastle, and a Graduate Certificate in ICT Education from Charles Sturt University. Rob also has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education from the University of Tasmania, a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Arts Education from the University of New England (AU), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Edith Cowan University. Rob also has a Diploma of Teaching in Music major; Mathematics minor from Edith Cowan University.
