Irene Mbarika

Irene Mbarika, Ph.D., is a seasoned educator and professional with extensive experience in the fields of education, research, human resources, and information technology. Currently serving as an Instructor in the Department of Education at The ICT University since January 2008, Irene has demonstrated a commitment to enhancing student learning through courses on research and student development theories, while also utilizing platforms such as Moodle for course management. Previous roles include Director of Human Resources/Chief Operating Officer, where strategic planning and program execution were key responsibilities, and Research Associate, coordinating multiple research initiatives. Additionally, Irene has contributed to academia as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Louisiana State University and has held leadership positions in technology and human resources in other organizations. Irene holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Research from Louisiana State University, along with a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Foundations & Administration from Buea University, Cameroon.
