Annie Deakin

Annie Deakin is an accomplished design columnist and interiors writer with extensive experience in the field. Since October 2008, Annie has served as the weekly design columnist for The Independent online, covering a wide range of topics including interior trends, property scandals, and designer interviews. In addition, Annie has been an interiors writer for mydeco.com since January 2008. As the seventh generation in the family jewelry business, Deakin & Francis, Annie has managed the website and promotional material since January 2007. Previous roles include interiors editor at The Hill magazine and features assistant at ES Magazine, where Annie contributed to various topics such as fashion, travel, and food. Annie holds a degree in Modern French literature from Edinburgh University, completed in 2004.
